  • French Press

  • 1/4 cup espresso or strong coffee (see notes)
  • 2 cups Chocolate or Dark Chocolate Almond Milk or chocolate Nutpods (see notes)
  • French press

  • Brew your strong coffee or espresso using a Moka Pot or espresso machine. See blog post for more details on this step.
  • Pour two cups of chocolate almond milk in a microwave-safe measuring cup or container. Heat the almond milk for 2-3 minutes until desired heat is reached (you can also heat in a small pot on the stovetop).
  • Once hot, pour the milk into the French press. The level of the milk in the French press needs to be high enough so that the plunger can be completely submerged in the liquid. Two cups of milk should do it, but if not then add a little more.
  • Place the plunger inside the French press and carefully pump the plunger up and down. Keep pumping until the milk level has almost doubled in volume.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of espresso into a large mug.
  • Pour the frothy almond milk from the French press over the coffee until the mug is filled to the top. Use a long spoon to mix the coffee at the bottom of the mug with the almond milk.
  • If you are using regular coffee, taste your drink and add more coffee if needed to reach your desired coffee taste.

  • If you do not have an espresso machine or Moka Pot for stovetop espresso, a strong brewed coffee will also work. Just note that the coffee will have more water in it, so you will need to adjust the amount of coffee you add to your latte depending on how strong you want the coffee taste.
  • Refrigerated Silk or Almond Breeze chocolate almond milks work best.
  • If you are using chocolate Nutpods, you may want to mix half regular unsweetened almond milk with the creamer. This way you won't use up all of your creamer and the combination makes a nice, creamy froth.
