This Watermelon Pineapple Agua Fresca (agua de sandia y piña) is an amazingly refreshing drink to make during the summer months. Sweet watermelon and juicy pineapple are blended with water and fresh lime juice for a naturally fruity drink that's light, vibrant, and incredibly refreshing. Whether you're hosting a backyard BBQ, spending the day by the pool, or simply trying to stay cool, this easy agua fresca is the perfect way to enjoy the flavors of summer.

Growing up, my mom would often blend fresh fruit into refreshing aguas frescas, especially during the hot summers when we lived in Mexico. These days, I love making these tasty drinks for my own family during the summer. While traditional favorites like Agua de Sandía, Horchata, and Agua de Melón will always have a place in my kitchen, I also enjoy creating new combinations inspired by seasonal fruit.
This Watermelon Pineapple Agua Fresca combines two fruits that taste like summer. Sweet watermelon and juicy pineapple are blended with water and fresh lime juice for a light, refreshing drink.
Like my Pineapple Agua Fresca, Pineapple Strawberry Agua Fresca, and Cucumber Watermelon Agua Fresca, this recipe is simple to make and easy to adjust depending on how sweet your fruit is. Serve it all summer long or anytime you need a cool and refreshing drink.

Ingredients & Substitutions
With just a few ingredients you can make this refreshing summer drink: fresh watermelon, pineapple, water, and lime juice. If your fruit is ripe and naturally sweet, you may not need any additional sweetener. However, if you'd like a sweeter agua fresca, I recommend using a honey simple syrup because it blends seamlessly into the drink and allows the fresh fruit flavors to shine. Feel free to substitute your preferred sweetener if desired.

Vitamix Blender
I use my high-powered Vitamix every day. It blends so well and it's perfect for breaking down the pineapple for this agua fresca.
How to Serve
Serve this agua fresca chilled and/or over ice. I actually prefer this agua fresca after it has sat in the refrigerator overnight. The flavors really come together and tastes even more delicious. Garnish with a wedge of watermelon or a wedge of pineapple if desired.
Storing and Reheating
Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Stir well before serving as the drink may thicken slightly or separate as it chills.
